Alimta Results

This is for Bill and whoever else. I just wanted to share my
news that after 2 cycles of Alimta (as well as Velcade, a trial) I
got my first ct scan that shows no progression!!! I am so happy
to be screeching to a halt and hope to start the road of
reversal! I do have some leg weakness, but apparently this
could be from the decadron I have been on, so I will taper off
and see if I can find a happy medium. Meanwhile my O2
saturation was at 100% today. I feel so pleased. I am still due to
have gamma knife on my brain monday, but the lesions are
tiny and possibly not related, though I imagine they are.

For Ellen and others. I thought I sent you an email after yours of 5/31/05. Hope everything is going well for you.. My reaction to Alimta is like yours..no progression which is a good sign. I have to take decadron tomorrow, in anticipation of chemo on Monday. Hope your gamma knive treatment went well. Wanted to know how your friend on Alimta for 9 months is doing now? Any way I can contact her directly?
I certainly experience fatigue all the time, but can manage with it... has that hit you too? Dro me a line when you can. Bill

I went on vacation, to altitude of 6800 ft and did Oxygen,. that
was interesting. The tubing got blocked from the water and
wasn't spitting at me after a bit. I just thought it was a problem
solved till one AM when I could not get out of bed...good
lesson! Anyway, it was a great vacation except for that and I am
so glad to live at sea level!
