I had been taking Sutent 50 mg for 12 cycles (28 days/14 days) but in Feb. starting having severe pain my chest. A CAT scan showed a tumor in my left lung had grown from 1.4 cm to 2.4 cm in two months. Anyway, whatever info you can share is greatly appreciated. So far it has kept me stable, and there have been no side effects form the Avastin. I had a nephrectomy in Oct, 2005. I have tried Nexavar for 4 months (didn't work), then I tried Sutent for 18 months. It was successful until last July when I started to develop Pleural Effusions (fluid in the lining of my left lung). After Thorasic surgery, the problem stayed at bay till very recently. I expect we will be looking at a new treatment plan shortly. I think the Avastin kept the lymphnodes from growing as long as I have been taking it. Good luck ! D. J. April 1st.He had taken Sutent for 9 cycles but the side effects were unbearable so the onocologist took him of it.Could you please tell us what to expect with Torisel you will have three weeks gone what have your side effects been in that period of time.
