I had my cancerous rt. Kidney removed in june 07 then started on sutent with few side effects however after2/3months it was determined the sutent was not working..i should note that the cancer had metastized into some lymph nodes and bones,i started on torisel every week with benadryl preceding it and every 4 weeks i get a infusion of zometa to build up my bone density. The side effects i have experienced are:extreame shortness of breath weakness in my extreamities[arms&legs)difficulty standing for long periods of time & sinusitus. I'm now rceiving whole blood transfusions as needed and all of the above have gone away or decreased  by 80% except the sinusitus.i wwill undergo a ct scan soon and post the results asap.

Hi, thanks for the information . I have been on Sutent for 1 1/2 years; it stopped working about 2 months ago and I am about to start Torisel after the sutent is out of my system. Do you have any other information about patients who have taken both. My cancerous Rt Kidney was removed in Spril of 2006. Dry mouth and lack of ability to taste have been my main side effects. luv2sing
