Anyone who can explain "HGSIL HPV neg"?
Last Oct, I got "ASC, can't exclude HSIL" "HPV negative", so I had biopsy right away, turned out "LGSIL".

1/21/08 the pap result is "HSIL". It shocks me. Now my doc wants to do the leep on this Friday.

My question is I never have HPV tested positive before (since HPV test available). Do I still have chance to get cancer? Or the biopsy and pap test too close to get the false alarm?

I am 39 with two kids.

Did your doctor show you the results of the biopsy? Did the doctor explain how extensive the dysplasia is? (CIN II or CIN III or CIS) Is it in the endocervical canal? Are the endocervical glands involved? I think you need to get a different doctor and another biopsy before you do anything. You need to know what you have and then you need to choose a procedure that will remove all of it. (You have more than one option.)

I don't know if the HPV test was a false negative or not. But I think you do deserve a doctor who is more explanatory about the condition of your dysplasia.
