At my cancer center Aloxi is given by a single shut not by IV infusion. I've heard about it for the first time and I'm very concerned. I would like to ask my doc to prescribe for me Aloxi but Im not sure if they know what they are doing. ANy body heard about this method of Aloxi administration?

Thanks a lot for reply. Keeping everybody in  my prayers.

ALOXI is given as a single, 0.25 mg fixed IV dose administered over 30 seconds, 30 minutes prior to chemotherapy.

Hey,

Did your mother go down with break through nausea or fatique from chemo? Aloxi works for about 5 days, but its effectiveness decreases each day. Many docs prescribe a second anti-emetic for break-through nausea. My husband receives Aloxi and it has been great for him. He is also on a around the clock dose of Ativan. The Ativan was originally presribed for anxiety, but it works well for chemo patients with nausea too.
