Subject: cure for itching

My husband was diagnosed in January with stage four hodgkin's lymphoma and his primary symptom is severe itching. We are doing natural treatment and within 30 days there was shrinkage in the tumours on his heart and cancer spots on his legs had completely disappeared. However, the itching will not go away or even subside. He has had this itching for 15 months now and our doctors are at a loss for what to do apart from completely curing the cancer. Does anyone know of something, preferrably natural, that has been known to relieve itching caused by lymphoma?

I don't know if this will help but it has helped me.  I was prescribed a lotion called "Salex" (6% Salicylic Acid).  My itching was from my shoulder blades down my back.  This was prescribed by a D.O.(Doctor of Osteopathy). In the beginning I had to have my wife apply it Nightly. Now I only need it occasionly (once or twice a week). I hope this helps.

When you say you are doing natural therapy - what is that?  My Dad was just recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.  He has had one CHOP-R treatment.  He too had itching before he ever knew he had lymphoma.  There was no spots or rash tho, so I am not sure if his itching was due to the lymphoma or not.  I don't know for sure what it means if it was, cause he itched for a long time before he found out - I thought that could not be good, but so far we have not been told the stage or anything like that.  Before he found out he had lymphoma he could get temporary relief from medicated gold bond and powder (he liked Monkey Butt Powder, from tractor supply, but it smelled just like regular powder).  But like I said, it was temporary, he had to reapply it about every three hours.
