After reading the message regarding Tomotherapy verses Proton therapy and that by choosing Tomotherapy would be taking a risk, I've become very worried and concerned about my brother who is taking the Tomotherapy. My brother has had his prostate removed, however now has mets to the bone. All of this is very new to me, so if anyone who knows anything about this therapy would share more info. with me about this type of therapy at this stage, and wheather it is helpful or have reason to believe the Tomotherapy may be some sort of risk factor and would share their info. with me, I would be very greatful. Thanks .
Where there is bone metastases, localized treatments, ( eg: radiation, Tomotherapy, Proton therapy) have limited value.
Systemic therapy is required.
