Linda was diagnosed oct 2004 with small cell lung cancer. It had already spread to her liver and she got very sick real fast. She underwent chemo for 3 days a week for three weeks and then had 21 days off and started over again. In March her tumors had shrank enough the doctor thought she could take a vaction from her chemo therapy. Linda began to have sever headaches last week. Over the weekend her speech became very irratic. We went to the doctor today, Had an MRI of her brain. Found out the cancer had spread to her brain very quickly and very wide spread. They immediately started her on radiation this morning and she starts chemo tomorrow again because the tumor in her lungs and liver are growing rapidly again. It has only been three months and it is all back worse than it was the first time. I guess my question would be.. Has anyone on here experienced the same thing and how did you do if you did? Once the cancer goes to the brain like this is the prognosis bad? What do you think her chances of living for a while is? Please be honest.
