I agree MD Anderson is a good place to go-we have not been there, but when my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 last year we looked into that place as well as Cancer Treatments Center of America. We didn't want to wait to start treatment-new tests etc so we stayed with the dr in Abilene. We are glad we did. He is a fine oncologist and praise the Lord my husbands TM is now down to 8. Cancer is not a death sentence anymore.
It is very scarry, ad sometimes seems to be more that we can deal with ,
my husband's favorite thing he said was that he was going to LIVE until he died. He never gave up even with the fatigue that put him down a lot.
He is back to work full time and we are making plans for summer activities. I plan to celebrate our 50th anniversary and that is a few years away.
Don't give up. If you read, one of the best books isThere's No Place Like Hope by Vickie Girard. I got mine one from Amazon.
Do research-learn as much as you can. The first thing I did was eliminate sugar. Why feed something you're trying to kill-Cancer feeds on glucose.
I got nicknamed Sergeant Jan! because I was so strict about the menu!
Just hang in there and don't let any thing take away your hope!
