Hi, first time posting here.
I'm 30 years old and started having abnormal paps about a year ago. My first biopsy/culposcopy came back normal. The follow up paps were abnormal. I had LEEP last week and the results came back showing that most of the abnormality is in the canal and there were not clean margins from the sample he took. He wants to wait six months and do another pap, and if it's abnormal still, take out my uterus.
I don't want more children so this is not necessarily horrifying news for me, but, my concern is is there a chance that the cells inside the canal are WORSE than what they have seen so far? It was mild/moderate dysplasia from the LEEP. I'm worried there might be severe dysplasia or cancer higher up in the canal and that waiting six months is dangerous.
I'm so sick of the drama.
Thanks for any information you can share.
