Muscle cramps due to Dexamethasone

So glad it worked Anna!  Your postings have been lovely and I have really enjoyed following your search for the information you needed.  You have been very clear in responding to each and every message individually -- sometimes people tend to jump in and answer messages that are not necessarily intended for them, thereby confusing the line of the message.  Your clearly labeled replies have made the thread remain focused -- well done, for this is one of the longest messages that we've had in a very long time!

My husband was dxd with an anaplastic astrocytoma level 3 glioma in May. Recently he's been waking about every four hours with severe leg cramps. What's going on? Is it the dekadron or small seizure from the brain tumor, a nutritional deficiency or something else? His doc prescribed lorazepam a drug developed for anxiety. It seems to help. His pcp recommended drinking diet quinine. We may have to try the pills. Any other thoughts or shared feelings on this brain cancer are welcome. We have a five year old and an 11 year old. I do massage for a living, he's an architect. He's going to work every day. It's inoperable as it's in too many critical areas of the brin. He was treated with radiation and his chemo is ongoing.
