I am just wondering if any of you men with RCC are Vietnam vets?  The Gov't doesn't list RCC as Agent Orange related, but I have my suspicions.  Everything you guys breathed and swallowed was sprayed with Agent Orange.  We need to keep statistics on your disease and keep pushing for Gov't responsibility.  Please get to a VA hospital with your history and get started on the paperwork to get this disease covered.  We all have family dependent on you, so the Gov't needs to compensate us for the damage they caused.

Yea, my father is a Veitnam Vet too...and was exposed to agent orange and y little brother even had one of the birth defects that is caused or passed to children of vet who where exposed, they still rejected it after our appeal, we are still going to push it and he is at va as well..how a kidney isnt considered a soft tissue..which they cover is beyond me..if he developed diabetis he would be covered...the government is wonderful :)

My dad died of RCC in Feb 08.  I don't know if he was exposed to Agent Orange or not, but he was in Vietnam.

My stepfather died April 2007 from RCC.  He was a Vietnam vet who was exposed to agent orange.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss.  How long did he have RCC?  Please keep trying to get the VA to take responsibility for you Dad's cancer.  I still feel that Agent Orange is responsible.  Good luck to you in your efforts.

Just for your information. The VA admits that, if you served even one day in Vietnam, you could be subject to Agent Orange. They only award to certain types of cancers at this stage.

If you were in-country and drank the water, you could have agent orange exposure

I lost my Father to Renal Cell cancer just this past June...he was diagnosed in March.  My Dad was a Viet Nam vet and had been exposed to Agent Orange (he told stories of being drenched in the stuff).  My family and I have been researching and are EXTREMELY surprised that the government haven't yet found a link.

Heddylee,

Thank you for your reply.  I still think RCC is Agent Orange related.  My husband is in the final stages and on hospice care.  He has gone down hill fast these past three weeks.  He has suffered enough and I feel the Gov't owes everyone of these guys.  I will be keeping all his medical records, and when the Gov't says Agent Orange is responsible, then I'll go after them for all they owe my husband and our family.  So sorry about your Dad, I know it wasn't easy for any of you.  I'll be praying for your family and their recovery.
