Hi,

I have posted, requesting info on this before, but I'm so frustrated I just wanted to see if anyone else had been through this.

My Mum has had Ultrsound, CT Scan, ERCP and Biopsy via large needle. All of which have not proven to give a firm diagnosis.

Obviously there are other things going on such as weight loss etc, but we are now 6 weeks into this and no treatment and no firm diagnosis!!

I have managed to arrange a second opinion on Wednesday, but what I am really trying to find out is, if all these tests have not conclusivley proven to be PC coul dit be something else that is causing the same symptoms as PC.

I know I am living in hope but could this be the case??

I'm afraid I don't have any detailed info about blood work etc.

Is there anything I shoul dbe asking at the 2nd opinion meeting.

As always, many thanks for all your help.

Paul

I experienced the same thing with my husband. We went thru all the test. The initial problems started in July he did not recieve a confirmed diagonisis until Feb. He was then diagonised with end stage PC. To late to do anything I feel you flustration. Push for a diagonisis. Don't wait as long as we did.

Make sure the CT was done with I.V. Contrast. And ask about CA 19-9 blood test. Push, push, push.
