Hello i'm new here. My spouse recieved results today of cat scans. Adenocarcinoma stage4-Leukemia cutis. Anyone heard of this? Dr recommends bone marrow biopsy soon. I live in NY and have contacted cancer treatment centers of america in PA for help. I'd appreciate any kind of feedback to me about any of this. Thank you so much!

God Bless!!

Sorry to hear about your husband.  I was diagnosed with CML last year and am still learning.  I believe the bone marrow biopsy will give the doctor a better look at what is going on.  I had one done so they could see what type of leukemia I have.  I have to get on done once a year and am not looking forward to it.  Tell your doctor to give your husband something to calm his nerves and for pain during the procedure.  It is not a pleasant one.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your husband. I was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. It's also a bone marrow disorder. A slow killer with no cure or treatment as of yet.

I've had 6 BMB done in 16 months. Why so many well 2 here were I live and 4 at MD Anderson. Three were done in part of a study I did.

I get very nerveous right before a BMB. I think its just the whole idea of it. When you get professionals that do this all day long and are pros at it, they have it down pat. MD Anderson is the less pain I found when I done these.

Your husband can ask to be put under anesthesia or as the other lady said a little something for his nerves. I usually do it without any thing, I find if they keep me talking it helps the most.

Everyone has a different tresh hold of pain so please remind him of this.

God bless you both as you travel this journey. I wish you all the best!
