Anvirzel

Hi

My dad has pancreatic cancer and mets to the liver. He has been told that treatment is not an option and is not part-taking in pallative care supports. He is doing well enough at present and relaly is getting used to his digestive mediation and is sleeping a lot. We have been advised through 'friends of firends' that a non FDA approved drug called Anvirzel may help him fight this disease. Can anyone please let me know if this is a false hope or if this drug actually can help. It is made in San Antonio.

This is an interesting drug from the oleander plant.   It is sold as a dietary supplement in the US which means it has not been in any trials which have proven its benefit in treating, cureing or preventing any disease, including cancer.  So, its hard to say.  PC is such a difficult to treat cancer, anything is worth a try.  Just let your doc know what non-traditional meds you are using.

Many have suggested going to Pancan for information, I agree. They have been a great help to us in getting dr information and putting us in touch with others with similar situation as ours. They are a great support group

Many have also said to talk to some who have used Manateck(spelling) products. We haven't but have talked to several who have and credit it with their success.

It is not FDA approved but is it possible to buy it as a supplement?

Artemisinin.  I know of a case in which a man had leimyosarcomoa with mets to his liver.  Doctors found it with a scan (CT or MRI) .  He took artemisinin and 3 weeks later went in for a pre-op scan.  The doctors were stunned!  They canceled his operation and said they would continue scans until they found tumors!

I do not know any more than this as I lost contact with him in the leiomyosarcoma website. 

I took artemsinin for a peas-sized tumor in my scrotum.  The tumor shrunk by half every five days until the 20th day when it was gone! that was 4 years ago!  I never went to a doctor for it! 

I purchased my (Artemisinin by Nutricology) at fernsvitamins.com

It was $17.70 /bottle with 90 caps I took 2 caps morning, noon, evening and at bedtime with water (no side affects!).  I now take one capsule morning and at bedtime as a preventative.  Also, it was supposed to work on hemorroids!  Yes, it does, my hemorroids disappeared!!!

     I am happy to know that the supplement helped you. I would request you to send to me any information on "Anvirzel" which is claimed to be effective in cancer therapy. The information I found was that "Anvirzel" can be purchased as a herbal or nutritional supplement but I don't know where to contact someone in USA, if at all, it is available.

Did you ever get an answer to this question? Where can you buy Anvirzel in the US? Also, for those of you who have been using Anvirzel/administering it...have you been pleased/would you recommend it for a 72 year old stage IV panc canc patient with mets to liver?
