OK, it looks as if people are either too shy or not interested in this subject to pursue discussion, or maybe I'm just too straightforward ?
Anyway, in case there are some very discouraged and frustrated guys (or their wifes) out there, let me tell you anyway, where I am up to.
My surgery was in March so I am now 5 months down the track. I am now 100% continent, no leaks or accidents for at least two months. After some very disappointing and frustrating attemps at resuming a sexual relationship, things are moving along nicely. I am taking Levitra at least twice a week in order to keep the system running whether I'm planning sexual activity or not and "using the needle" to give me an erection of about 90% of pre-op. experience at least once and sometimes twice a week. The last twice, has seen me attain orgasm during intercourse.
So what I am saying, guys & gals, is "Don't give up!" Get exercising that PC muscle. I do at least 300 contractions a day and I am sure that is what has helped with the continence issue. As for the potency issue, my philosophy has been "Don't expect more than you get, but keep at it with a positive mind-set and you WILL get more than you expect."
Cheers,
I
