In January 2006, after chemo and radiation to shrink the tumor, I had laparoscopic (with hand-assist) surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, Florida. My surgeon pioneered this particular surgery, and I was saved from a permanent colostomy by his expertise. His name is Dr. Steve Wexner.
