My dear, I can tell you that many others have out-gunned worse cases, due to diligent & aggressive counter-measures! Cancer cells are anaerobic, and cannot live in the presence of oxygen, Neither can they live in an alkaline environment. If one will correct both the acidity
and the poor circulation, aeration, and hydration
(use structured water for better O2 transport, membrane permeation, and nutrient transport, + pH
elevation...Cesium Chloride to bring the pH to 7.4, as tested via the saliva)MSM is another great O2 transporter! A homeopathic lymph stimulant, and sip the water all day, and whatever "type" of cancer you are told is afflicting you will soon be a footnote in your life's story! DO NOT make the error of using a casual approach, a partial application, or a stage
II or III therapy for a stage IV cancer! And, if by excision(surgical removal)a few trillion cells can be removed, saving the body the toxic burden of their deaths(for such a large tumor is always so "walled off" from the body that the cells cannot be effectively reverted to normalcy)
and this removal will have a benefit greater than the destruction it causes, then by all means
have it removed; or enough of it that it then is manageable! Use of a full-spectrum plant-source
whole-food enzymatically active vitamin supplement, with chelated minerals, and a broad-scope amino-acid(pre-digested is best for cancer patients)formula, plus probiotics(they are aften in combination), and a little sunshine(10-15 min/day for optimum calcium-complex absorption),
and there should be a rapid "miracle report" forthcoming from the oncologists! God bless, and better health! Your servant, Michael L M, ND

There is an email support list specific to renal cell carcinoma; go to http://cancerguide.org/kofaq/ to join. It know there is at least one person on that list that has a met to the pancreas, had her pancreas removed, and has done well for many years.

I do not believe that Micheal's reply represents proven treatments. Cesium. etc have been around for a long time and have never been proven.

I agree that the herbal and supplement remedies discussed above are of no proven value. I would ask the poster to supply the published evidence from controlled clinical trials. I am a leading RCC oncologist and on the medical advisory board of several pharmaceutical companies and scientific committees. What has been said about this as an emerging treatment is completely false.

Surgical resection or metastectomy is of value in RCC. There are several retrospective studies demonstrating prolonged survival. The best results occuring with 1 or 2 lesions and usually in the lung; however if a patient has an easily resectable tumor, surgical treatment can be considered. One approach in this setting that is employed by many is to treat the patient for a period of 3-6 months. This allows one to gauge whether or not there are new lesions that are going to pop up at other places as well as potentially even shrink the tumor in question. The biggest risk is taking a patient to surgery to remove a lesion, just to have another pop up shortly after. If everything looks good at 6 months, then pursuing surgical resection is more likely to be beneficial.

My sister-in-law just had surgery for kidney cancer. Just found a cantolope size tumor with a cat scan two weeks ago. Her symptoms were dramatic weight loss then anemia (red blood count dropped to 5). They also saw a spot on her kidney. At that time they told her 4 months w/o surgery and 8 months with surgery. She had her surgery Friday. The left kidney was completely engulfed and was removed. The tumor reached outside and was invading the pancreas. The Dr. said the artery leading to the pancreas was as big around as his index finger and that he had never seen one that size before. HE explained that it was a big no-no to cut into the pancreas unless there was no other way. He cut into the pancreas and removed as much as he could but not all of it. The tumor was also growing up the main artery of the lungs. He cleaned that out as much as possible, but felt that some tissue had probably broken off and would form in the lungs. He also had to remove the spleen. We cannot remember if it was removed because it had cancer in it or because there was a ruptured embolism. We know there was a rupture somewhere and we know the spleen was removed, we are just not sure what applies to what. They also removed lymph nodes and are awaiting the pathology. He told us that this was not a cure at all but only a quality of life issue. My brother is devastated and doesn't want to ask how long we are talking about now. We all asssume that we are looking at a much shorter time since there seems to be so much spread. Is this considered mestasis? One minute the Dr makes it sound like she just needs to be go home and get ready to die and the next he implies there might be a quality of life treatment. I knew nothing about kidney cancer before this but everything I have found makes it sound like iy is never to late and you shouldn't quit trying. Our concern is that she has 2 teenage boys and if she only has a few months and nothing can change that then I know she will want to have them all as good months and not seek treatments if it only means you prolong life but are too sick to enjoy whatever time is left. On the same token, she is too young (46) not to try anything and everything if there is the slightest chance it might help. Please reply and try to help me understamd this horrible disease. I already posted one message but there has been no response at all.

I hope I can lend some encouragement. My mother, at 76 was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer, Renal Cell. she had her Kidney removed and was not given Chemo at the time. I don't know why, but she wasn't. 2 years later it spread to the lungs. At that time she was given Gemzar once a week - for 12 rounds. I didn't work. But she took it well. She then started Taxtere 6 rounds every 3 weeks. It nearly killed her. But, they only gave her at the time of finding the lung cancer (renal cell that metastiszed (spread) to the lungs)2 months. She is twice the age of your sister in law?. She stopped the chemo because it just was too hard on her and preferred to live out her years with my DAD with a better quality of life. The Chemo did keep the cancer at bay for 2+ years. Just recently it moved to her bones. She attempted radiation but after 3 treatments said it was enough. She is now home and in hospice - and yes her time is limited. But from the day she was diagnosed with Kidney cancer and SHOULD OF HAD CHEMO after that surgery but for some reason the DR.'s didn't, she lived another 4+ years.

Now, I can talk about this because I am 50 with two teenage boys. I was diagnosed with Ovarian Stage IIIC cancer in May. After two surgeries, and on my 3rd round of Chemo - and reading every book, seeing ever specialist, and finding that the best medicine in the world is BELIEVING IN LIVING then your sister in law needs to not listen to things like "quality of life" "Time is limited" Your are going to die" - bla bla - she needs to not give up hope. Please Read and have her read Dr. Bernie Siegel's Love Medicine and Miracles. To give up hope - to accept death's door is not what she needs to do nor those around her. Look we ALL DIE. We can all die tomorrow. We do not walk around accepting death every day do we? So why should she? Buy her tapes that she can listen to on CD. Learn to believe in Angles - Anything by Carolyn Myss is good...there is so much out there that will help your attitude...it changed my life. Chemo sucks. don't think for a minute it doesn't. But if it will help, then do it. But learn, explore ask a million questions and see different doctors...I did...don't just accept the answer...find the truth.

God bless you and my all the positive energy in the world surround her at this time...
