I'm confused, I've been pushing the diet of Dr. Budwig which shows the benefit of flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. Now I hear that Dr. Ornish says it will cause prostate cancer, and should not be taken by men. Please advise.
Thanks, Robert

Well, I too have heard negatives about everyting I KNOW to be good, including the sacrificial, atoning death and resurrection & ascension of Jesus, so I take 'em all with a BLOCK of salt!
Johanna was censured for her work, and while that isn't always a sign that she was right, I feel good about suggesting a switch to ground/milled flaxseed, and instead of cottage cheese, try yogurt!(One could stir the flaxseed into the yogurt...) Dr. Patrick Quillin, who designed the nutrition programs for CTCA is huge on yogurt. While dairy protein contains antibodies which may eventually cause damage to the beta cells of the pancreas, the cancer treatment is more urgent. Then there are several defensive components for the prostate:raw pumpkin seeds, saw palmetto, pygeum africanum bark, uva ursi, zinc, barberry, E, C, A, Coenzymes Q & A, Selenium, DMG, SOD, MSM & B-complex w/extra niacinamide, choline, folic acid, B6 & B12, & D3. Remember, cancer cells are anaerobic, & cannot live in an oxygen-rich, nor in an alkaline environment! Sip pure water all day long. Swim, walk, or bounce on a mini-trampolin every day for 10-15 minutes. Use a lymph stimulant. Never leave anything to "chance"/wish I'd done that, too, or etc., but do all you can to reverse this situation! God bless, and good health! MLM, ND

Dear Robert,

I would continue taking the flaxseed oil capsules as this is beneficial for your heart and it provides the body with the necessary Omega nutrients that we need...especially if we are not able to eat fish on a weekly basis. As for the cottage cheese, my nutritionist has advised against drinking/eating very much dairy products so I have been forced to get my calcium from "enriched" products....as it seems that prostate cancer seems to enjoy milk or dairy products...
Hang in there...and learn all you can about Nutrition and your specific type of cancer...but I would say the following...eat as little red meat (yes, I know Americans love their red meats but you have to!) as you can...eat lots of veggies and fruits...and whole wheats...
Take care and God Bless!

I am confused. Prostrate means "lying down." Is this a form of cancer you get from lying down?

I know my uncle had "prostate" cancer, but that is something completely different. Now I am afraid to lie down to go to sleep at night in fear I will develop prostrate cancer. Someone please help.
