I posted a message on 2-20 about my father age 60 being diagnosed with EC in 1-07. Had surgery 6-07. Severe debilitating, pain in the right leg 8-07. After being sent to numerous doctors and 6 months later, it was learned that what was thought to be a pirifourmous muscle problem, he had a 5 cm tumor growing. The tumor was draped over the sciatic nerve, therefore the severe pain. They also saw a small spot on his liver and the lower lobe of the lung. He just completed 16 rounds of radiation. My parents along with my brother (for extra ears) went to the oncologist on Tuesday. My parents were told that in the past month the spot on the liver had grown substantially along with another spot showing up. The doctor did not even want to talk about the other tumors. He told my dad that is was a quality of life issue, there is no cure. Enjoy what time he has. The doctor is great and we really like him. Dad chose which chemo to receive depending on the side effects. He will have chemo for 3 months and go from there. Is this a fast growing? I would only guess it is because one month ago is was a small spot and now has grown. Can anyone give me insight on what to expect.....Thank you
