my mom has pancreatic cancer and had the whipple surgery, however after 6 months she has not received and therapy.  Recently her hair has begin to come out, is this normal even if your don't take chemo?

I just started Chemo after my whipple (took my second dose today).  The doctors told me that the chemo they use for pancreatic cancer would not cause hair loss.  So far it has not.  If your mom is losing her hair without any Chemo it may be from something else.  I would check with her doctor.

I wish her a quick and full recovery
