My  husbands test showed a 29 in September when he was diagnosed, it is down to 9 right now, I was wondering does anyone know what it should be ? Does it go down to zero if he remians healthy and has no problems? This is all so very new to us, the oncologist tells us it us good the number is decending. We are comfortable with him, but I find it helpful to have these things explained in "english" from someone who has been there.

Thank you!!!!

Hi there,

This 5H1AA test isn't very accurate for this disease. My husband was diagnosed in 1998 but was told he had this cancer for an additional 10 years miss treated. Now just about 47 yrs old told me that his numbers have been normal from day one. He's in a very advanced stage now and even with the LAR/SAR he's still feeling the cancer effects hard. So don't hold those numbers as gold I'm afraid.
