My wife has been diagnosed with two lesions (astrcytomas) that MD Anderson is opining as Gliomatosis.   The NeuroOncologist has discounted all other alternatives (Ruta, Stem cell, chinese gene therapy, etc) and is prescribing Chemo at this point.   Questions:

1.  Should I go to Burzynski Clinic

2. Should I treat only with Chemo / or Chemo and Altern Medicines

3.  This is inoperable:   opinions from Cornell Medical-NY, Barrows-AZ, and MD Ander-Tx.   Im at a loss for right path to take.

I do not Know anything about these tumors. Never heard of them. I will pray that God will show you the right path to take. Good luck

Sorry to hear about your wife struggle.

Gliomatosis is a type of cancer that affects the glia cells, just like the commonly discussed Glioblastoma. However in these cases there is a tendency to multiple tumors. That’s why radiotherapy and surgery are not commonly advised. I believe that you are on the right path. Chemotherapy seems to be the best shot as your first line defense. I know one case of Gliomatosis that produced twelve different tumors all over the frontal and temporal lobes. This person received its first Avastin+CPT11 infusion on September’07 and received clean MRIs since then.
