Hello Friends:

Just wanted to drop a positive note to everyone about my husbands progress.  The last visit with the med onc was great.  He won't say it but insinuates that my hubbie looks to be in remission.  They don't want to do a scan until after adjuvant treatment....too many false positives they say.  He started adjuvant on Monday (110mg cisplatin) and then a 24hr/day drip of 5FU for 96 hours total.  They hooked him up Monday afternoon and will unhook him on Friday.  He'll get a three week break and then have to do this again.  After that, he is home free!  We are banking on the fact that he has responded so well to date.  Very limited amount of side effects and these weren't too drastic.  Considering he was stage four with large tumors, we'll take it! Just glad to see the neck tumors are gone.  Such a wonderful relief to see my husband's skinny neck again.

Many blessings to all of you.  And, my most sincere gratitude for all the advice and hope.

Kara

Good for him! (and you)

I'll keep my fingers crossed, a candle lit and you both in my thoughts and prayers hoping this all works out for you two. It's a tough road, hopefully you're near the end of it.

Mike
