Tumor Marker Rise

Subject: Tumor Marker Rise

If the CEA tumor marker is trending up ( 1.5, 2.5, 3.1 and now 3.5) but the CA19-9 is remaining normal (10, 9, 11, 11) is there concern that the cancer has returned?  Scan in November was clear.

Had whipple in 2005.  Follow-up scan clean but do note two cysts (branch type IPMN) which has said is almost alway not cancer.  Could cyst cause CEA to rise?
