Dad Going On 4Th Round Of Chemo

Hi all, Short update. Dad will be doing a 4th round of chemo. His protein count is down a little but not enough.

First of all, my heart goes out to you and your father.    These first cycles of chemo are scary as hell--at least they were for us.

Can you share your father's regimen?   What chemo is he on?

P.S. a couple more questions:

Have they measured his circulating myeloma cells?

Is this protein reading from a 24 hour urine sample, or is it an M spike reading from a blood sample?

Hi MCrow, Not sure what you mean by first cycles.  This is not his first time on chemo by any means.  I've lost count.  Just his first time in while.  Dad's on a chemo called Revlimid.  This is a new drug.  He takes it for 21 day then gets a week off and on the Monday's he takes a little bit of Dex, the steriod.  Mostly the check his protein through his blood if that's what your asking.  Once in a while they check his urine.  Hope I answered your questions.
