I have a child with GBM-IV. Has anyone had success with Dr. Burzynski's anti-neoplastin treatment? If he had successes, why is he despised in the medical community? Is it worth a try?

Presently, no hospital in America including M.D.Anderson and Duke saves children with Diffuse Intrinsic Brainstem Glioma. They all die in 6-18 months.Doctor Burzynski's phase II trial for this disease produced 26 children with no symptoms at 2 years, and 6 of those 26 were alive at 5 years and presumed cured.I have the memo on his meeting with the FDA on this topic. The FDA denied his request for full approval and is presently stonewalling phase III.On July 21,2007 the FDA confirmed to me that they verified these results. In answer to your question about him being despised it is very simple. He represents a threat to the GIANT money making bonanza that is cancer treatment.Consider the following:
1--The FDA tried to throw him in prison in 1995 and failed!!
2--His process continues to have no insurance coverage thanks to the FDA.
3--Six hospitals including M.D.Anderson are right across town from his clinic.
With these roadblocks in front of him his clinic has continued to grow and treat more and more people.God will not let anything happen to Burzynski's clinic.Does everyone he treats live? No,but the ones who die are not tortured with radiation, chemotherapy, and steroids.
