I was diagnosed with Tonsil cancer stage IV ...I had a neck dissection and tonsillectomy on feb 26th, loosing the nerve to the right side of my tongue, shortly after getting home...I noticed a pain that occurs when I first place anything other than water into my mouth and onto my tongue, I dont have to chew or swallow...I get a searing pain on the right side of my throat and that runs to my ear canal, this dissipates after a few moments and after my meal I then get a searing / stabbing pain in my ear canal that last for a few moments...its to the point that I dont care to eat what so ever and have started to lose weight due to it...and Im just starting my treatments. Has anyone had the same type of pain? I think Ive been prescribed every pain killer...but Im certian this is a nerve issue / nueropathy, I have yet to get my doc to listen...any info is greatly appreciated
