The burden of being human if we are lucky enough to experience it, is to care for and then bury our parents. I lost my father this past December. His body simply gave out but he too, had his wits about him until the last day. Never cheated, he lived to be 92.
I am interested in your post because it is the first one I've seen about a patient with brain mets with a CUP. My wife had 5 brain tumors treated a year ago March. Hers too, is a CUP. I am sure her age gives her an advantage over your father as far as survival and prognosis, however hers still is very questionable.
Thank you for sharing a very positive story about a very peaceful exit at the end of the journey. It gives me comfort as I worry about my wife's next 6 months.
