What Is Remission ? Gbm 4

Hi all ive now been told by my prof sergeon that i am in remission ?,im 51yrs old diagnosed sept 06 radiation ,now temodor 17mths,can anyone please tell me any new info on ave servival rates on temodol as the instructions i have are from 2003 and they show an ave of 3yrs,however those averages were im told calculated on people who may have been ----old,frail,weak,other illnesses etc which would obviously reduce the figures greatly.i know one man of a simular age still ok with no re growth etc after 6yrs.... Do you have any knowledge of any longer ?maybe from the first clinical trials ? Best to you all ,john.

John, Your doing well, congratulations. You say you've been on Temodar 17 months and if your doctor says your in remission because your having clear MRI's then I believe you are lucky and doing well. Most of the data out there is outdated and being 51 I would say age and overall previous good health play a big role in success rates.
