Subject: Nausia from excess supplements?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me thier opinion.

My Dad has esophegeal cancer with mets to the liver.  He was on chemotherepy until a month ago, when he opted to go the natural route.  He's seen 3 naturalpaths, and had energy work done.  He is on sooooo many supplements, vitamins, and herbs.  He has become very nausious in the past few months, it gets worse and worse.  The medical doctors seem to think it's because of the liver.  I am wondering if it could be due to the fact that he's on so many supplements.  I was thinking of taking him off some of the supplements.  Has anyone had this experience?

There are many supplements that can cause nausea. (C, Calcium, Copper, Selenium, zinc, magnesium & some of the B vitamins) So it might not be his liver. Conventional doctors have no clue about nutrition. You might try taking him off of one supplement at a time for a day or two until you find which one is making him so sick.

In response to your question about nausia related to supplements I would think that it might be his liver.  A very good herb to use to detox the liver is Milk Thistle or Healthy Liver Tonic Compound.  I use these herbs by Herb Pharm in the liquid form.  This might help the liver recover.  It can't hurt to try or ask a naturalpath what he/she might think.  You also might want to do some research on other herbs that help with cancer.  Rebuilding the immune system helps the body fight in its natural way.  Good luck to your Dad and don't give up hope.

I also forgot to mention Aloe Vera Juice or Gel.  He could drink 2 oz. as often as necessary to relieve pain and it is also very healing.  This can be found at the co-op or Whole Foods Market.  These are some options.

Thanks for all the info.  Does this Aloe Vera juice or gel help nausia do you know, or is it just pain?
