Its been about 6 weeks since my final (12th) chemo treatment.  The neuropathy in my feet is still pretty bad.  I wonder how long this lasts and if it will ever go away.  Please post comments about your experience with this tingling and numbness of your feet (or hands).  How long did it last?  Did it ever completely disappear?

My husband also has the neuropathy in his feet.  The best thing we have found to help with this is walking.  It seems the more he is able to walk the less severe the tingling is.  I am not sure if the walking helps to get the nerves working again or what, but it has helped. He has been dealing with this for about 6 months and it is improving a great deal.   Also his feet are very cold at night so I heat up bath towels in the dryer and wrap his feet in the warm towels.  He says this feels great and helps him fall asleep.  Good luck to you and stay strong.

Hi, I familiar with neuropaty. I also finished chemo in june 2007. The neuropaty in my hands are gone......but still in my feet. Left one got better, right is still annoying and frozen and tingling. Walking makes mine worse. Suggestion: one doctor told me to check the bottoms of your feet each day for any small cuts and anything you might step on which you won't fell, so check them carefully... rubbing them gently also helps. Oh my niece got me a cool gel slipper treatment which feels great also. I guess we just have to be patient. Hopefully this shall pass also. Right? Feel better. Irenerum601
