My sister was diagnosed yesterday with Fallopian tubes cancer. As well she  was diagnosed 2 years ago, with colorectal cancer, and had to have the rectum (pouch)removed, but no need for chemo.

Does anyone have any experience as to the possible -probable connection between the two, and the chances that this cancer may have  spread elswhere. We are waiting for results ( lymph glands analysis). We will know more in two days time.We are anxious as we wait, and thought  someone out there  with a similar set of circumstances, would perhaps like to share with us, their experience and their thoughts..  Thanking you and God Bless

A lot of cancer just spreads and sometimes to odd places. Maybe she had it in the tubes first but they did not catch it....All the best. Surgery usually works very well ...

Thanks for taking the time to respond. We know it will not be very good news. I appreciate your focus on one aspect.."surgery works well" because we get a sense that so far, when we have focussed on the present, it is more  bearable. Your comment reminded us of just that. We still have no news regarding lymph nodes and spread, as to where and etc...It is all overwhelming.. We try not to see the doctors as  infallible, who know all and fix all. Although the temptation to to do  that is hard to resist.  Thanks again.
