My Mom Has Passed Away

Here i am again with a broken heart and soul. My mom has passed away on 7 march after fight with metastatic breast cancer for last 5 and half year. I want to thank all the member of this site who gave me suggestion and support in this battle. I know how hard it is for family of a cancer patient to cope with this disease but there is always hope. We were also hopeful till the last moment of my moms life and so was she. I believe positive thinking helped my mom to survive this long. She never gave up. My mom will be always my inspiration. 

I pray for all the cancer patient and their care giver so that they never give up  there is always hope. Please pray for my moms soul. Hope god gives me the strength to overcome her loss.

Lost my Mum to  cancer in March 2004. Miss her as much today as I do every single day since the day she died, but with smiles and happy memories now.  My Mum lasted just under four years, but had a good quality of life during her illness, until her last six months.

She died of sheer malnutrition and exhaustion. Her cancer never metastisised elsewhere, but the cancer cells made her so ill, she was unable to eat or drink in her last six weeks of life.

I wish you well, I wish you peace and I wish the awful memories of your recent times will gradually be replaced by happier memories of times before cancer got a grip on your Mum.

Hello, My name is Muriel. I am new to the Cancer page here, but I am writing to you regarding your beloved mom. After reading that she passed on March 7th, it brought a tear to my eyes. My deepest sympothy go out to you. I too lost my wonderful beloved mom to this dreadful cancer. She had Breast Cancer. God was still good to her though. Her name was Grace. She was 69 years young, and fought it for fifteen years. She never was sick until last year in 07.. about the month of June her Doctor prescribed her some new medication Chemotherapy called Tykerb Oral. She actually gave my mother an overdose and spead up her illness. Tykerb Oral is a pill and really she should have taken one pill a day... but her careless doctor told her to take five a day on an empty stomach. She gave my mom six weeks to live in June of 07, but she fought on and lived until September 11th. Never Complaining about anything, it's just was the way she was. Boy do I miss her. But what is so rare is that I noticed you said that your wonderful mom passed on March 7th? That was my mom's birthday.
