Prostate Cancer-Radiation Cystitis!!! Help!! -Experiences

My Dad had a complete prostate removal in 2005, radiation following.  Now in 2008 had a hip replaced, developed e-coli bladder infection and now what they are saying is infection cleared but he in actuality has Radiation Cystitis.  Had 2 cystocopy surgeries and just underwent alum instillation today, urologist said 65% success rate.  The bleeding and clotting he has is horrible.  Anyone else had such a horrilbe thing and any luck with different treatments!!!!  Thank you.

  I went thru similiar problem with bleeding and clots 18 months after radiation...Went into hospital here in Baltimore area, where the put in cathater that would kept a constant flushing of the bladder...While this was going on, they had me going to hyperbaric treatments twice a day...It took a while but IT WORKED !!!!...There is alot of info on the internet about this...If you are close a large hospital, they should have this equip....If you want more on this .
