Hi, I am curious if anyone has taken CCNU as a chemotherapy. I was diagnosed about a year ago with a grade 3/4 astrocytoma. Ive already been through many treatments with temodar and for the last 12 weeks I have been on Ironotecan. Ive responded to both treatments very well. My doctor hasnt told me much about the ccnu yet and Im getting the vibe that it is very strong stuff! Apparently I will take pills once per 6 weeks and I understand that I will feel the worst of the effects about 2 weeks after the dose is taken. I just am curious what kind of difference to expect as far as the difference in ccnu and the other therapies Ive been given. Obviously my doctor is the one to answer this question for me, but I wont see him until Friday and my curiosity is killing me!
