Date: 05/06/2008 The other evening I happened to notice something different about my right breast. It doesnt feel like one distinctive lump per say but feels different then normal. I had my husband feel and he says it feels like its swollen, the right breast also seemed "swollen" on the top around the pec muscles. The other breast does not feel that way. Is this ok? Date: 05/06/2008 IBC or Inflammatory Breast Cancer is not a single lump but causes breast changes in the nipple and surrounding areas. This can also cause your skin to look like an orange peel ( except for the color). Other symptoms include rapid increase in breast size, redness, persistent itching, skin hot to the touch. IBC often initially resembles mastitis, and is sometimes misdiagnosed as an insect bite. IBC is nothing to mess with. Get it checked out. Date: 05/16/2008 My Breast Cancer wasn't a lump. It was a thickening, an increase in size that I put off to weight gain. It was the most common kind "Ductal Carcinoma in Situ" Because it was caught early and was still in the original type of tissue that it started in, I would end up having surgical removal and only Tamoxifen, a pill for 5 years. I didn't have to have radiation or chemo. Getting a mammiogram is well worth it. Even though it is stressful. Not knowing is even more stressful. Private Reply Quote Reply to This Message
