Does anybody know anything about it? my mom just got her scans back, after her first cycle of 12 rounds of FOLFOX she had some growth in her lungs(cancer was already there, now there are a couple new growths). Doc wants to put her on a clicinal trial call Rad001 (everolimus) anybody on it arleady? Also shes gonna switch to Irricocean and Cetivmub, excuse my spelling, anybody know how the side effects are?  She would hated the black palms and black feet and the neropathy.

Thanks everyone,

God Bless you all.

My friend was on a RAD001 trial for his recurrent glioblastoma and it had no effect at all.  He was pulled after the first four weeks and put on Avastin and VP16.  Glioblastoma is noteably tought to slow down though so that shouldn't be too discouraging.  On the up side he didn't have any negative side effects from the drug at all.  Best of luck and blessings.

I know that the rad inhibits sugar uptake in the cancer cells. I had a friend on it and he had some response and few side effects. As for erbitux, rash is the most common side effect. Use elidel cream, cetaphil lotion and tetracycline (net rx from Dr.) for side effects. Belieive me I had 15 cycles of panitumumab (vectibix) very similar drug, during clinial trials in 2006 , you want to take care of the rash. Best of Luck
