last year underwent a cone biopsy and later a hysterectomy for CIN3, symptoms included heavy bleeding and pain and bleeding during sex.  it is a year later and symptoms are worse.  original doctor said i was over reacting.  a second oppinion says that given the past proceedures, what i am describing is not possible.  i even went so far as to go to a THIRD doctor, not mentioning the history or the prior proceedures just to get an ultrasound to see if it was possible that the hysterectomy was botched, only to be scolded by the dr. for not telling her about it.  but when i said the symptoms were still there, she agreed with #2 that it was impossible.

anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

There is a site called "hystersisters." They may have information for you that would help you get some good answers.

UPDATE:  In case it helps someone else.

Since I hadn't had a PAP in a year, it was time, ergo I decided to try a 4th doctor for help, under the guise of needing a PAP.  Funny thing, when she went to get it, I almost kicked her in the face it hurt so bad.  I hadn't mentioned the prior problems to her.  I Figured I would have her 'take a look and maybe she would see something I didn't mention".  That got her attention so she did some looking, then scolded me for not telling her about what appeared to be an obvious cone biospy gone amuk.  Apparently the problem was clear as day.  It never occured to me that the other doctors never actually took a look, other than the one ultrasound.

A little background:  My cervix was not removed in the hysterectomy. This I knew.

So, back to the update:  Apaprently, the sutures in the cone biospy healed wrong, causing one side to rub against the other.  Indeed, my continuted problems were related to cervical irritation from certain movements,  infections after sex or if I used tampons, and related complications.  Nothing a LEEP didn't fix. Or should I say, I already feel better, but the end result really hasn't been tested yet.

Can you believe it?  I never needed the hysterectomy, just a correction to the side effect of the cone biopsy.  Such is....
