hello all,

I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies. This website is very helpful. I know all of you are dealing with  cancer one way or another. Everyone seems to have such strength, and courage. And everyone seems to be positive . It is so refreshing to hear positive stories, it gives me such hope. I seem to just float through my days at work, I feel like I'm dissconected from the world . Lke I'm not a part of this world anymore. And I'm not the one with cancer....My loving husband is. He is so strong, and patient. He is determined to beat this and so am I. Three more rounds of chemo and he gets another CT scan to see if anything has shrank, died, or dissapeared. Sometime in June.

I am concerned about some CT results of his chest...we had to get copies of his med. records for his navy reserve unit, and in these records were prelimanary results from his CT scan of his chest, the radiologist reports: There are a number of concerning pulmonary nodules seen in the upper and lower lobes of both lungs. It states These are suggestive of metastatic disease. Does this mean that the cancer has spread to his lungs?? We will discuss this on Tues. with his oncologist. Why would she not say anything about this to us ???

Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear about your husband.  Where where the CT tests done? Maybe the dr has not seen them yet.  How long ago where the CT tests done?  If what the radiologest says is true but I would not beleive him until you talk to a dr.  But if it was originally in his colon and now there are spots on the lungs then yes that means it has spread from the colon to the lungs. They would have to do a biopsy for the spots on the lungs to see if it is indeed what he thinks it is.   There are alot of positive stories on here with people with mestatistis cancer so keep the hope up and dont worry until you talk to the dr.

Don't ever give up hope. Your husband may have cancer but cancer doesn't have him. I too have been recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. Cancer is a bitc...but how you react to the news and how you deal with your disease has a lot to do with your recovery. Technology has changed so much over the past few years and they are able to provide better care to cancer patients due to research. I suggest to try to lead as normal life for yourself and your husband. My husband too stresses so much about my cancer and he feels our lives are on hold until we get past all this. I try to be strong for my children sakes, if I stress so do they. I know this is extremely difficult, if it was my husband instead of me I don't know if I could be so strong. Please know people are praying for you and your husband. Keep the Faith.

Sheryl
