Subject: Pet Scans
Date: 05/09/2008
My husband had rectal surgery in January along with two tumors removed from his liver.  All margins were clean.  His follow up visit indicated that he was cancer free.  He had his first pet scan yesterday and a small area in his liver along with a small area in his rectum are indicative of further testing.  His oncologist says there could be inflamation near his rectum from a procedure he had done two weeks ago, but the liver area has warranted a biopsy.  Has anyone experienced either of these scenario's.  Any information is appreciated.
