There are always risk to anything they do to us. Endoscopy's are extremely comon, however necessary at times to save a life. So pray for strength to get over the fear of the anesthesia and have the proceedure done. I too, like the one person that wrote you have had the camera to look at my vocal chords and it was a tickle. But I have heard from people in earlier days before anesthetic when having the endoscopy done and they said they really gagged and just hated it. So, if I were you, I would just do it. It is important to your life.
Re: COPD, my mom too has terminal COPD and has been in the hospital 14 times in 12 months. But I learned how to ensure her safety while in the care of Doctors and rehabilitaion centers.
