Post Si(Brachy)

Hi, I am interested in any info related to the foley cath used post-

seed implants. Friday, 5/9/08, my husband had 82 Theraseeds

placed. Doseage was 103Pd. He is struck with that foley catherer,

until Wed., 5/14/08. I would like to hear anyone else's fed-back.

 I had brachytherapy done on Nov 29. 2007.  I asked the doctor to put a catheter in because I was 100 miles from his office and didn't want to drive back for him to remove it.  The nurse gave me the necessary equipment to remove it myself.  I kept in a couple days and the removed it without any problem at all.  Of course there is some irritation with using it but that went away in a few days.  I hope this information helps.
