Bad News Help

My Aunt who has lung cancer stage 4 and brain mets.is going down hill fast..She just found out about the cancer the end of march.DId her 3 weeks of radation and is doing weekly chemo..Everyday she has been going down hill something new is going on.the last 2 weeks her memory is going.yesterday i took her to the er she got sick the night before and slept through it.She as phnomua (sp).she was admited in the hospital..they are doing tons of blood work everything has turned up fine her sodium level is low.TOday the dr called me and she had a bad night.she is alert but cant speak anymore.her body is like jello cant walk on her own.They are bringing in a nureo dr in the morning.TOday i got her to drink an boost and she threw that up.and blood clots out of her nose.She started to have little bloody noses.I told her dr last monday she was getting bad she just blew me off.They did a cat scan yesterday but dont have her pet scan to compair them to till tomarrow.I am worried sick this is it she is done fighting and its only been a month.When they took her in the elivator yesterday to take her to her room she did a saloot to us and we said hey we are coming with.I have to get into her face to look at me and she just isnt there I think she is giving up.the dr said she is very very worried about her..she is having a hard time swollowing now.she just found out a month ago and has gone to crap since the treatment started. and the funny thing is she has done well with the chemo no sickness nothing.and for her not to talk at all its like heck i dont know.I know this might be it but dang i wish she could fight harder.has anyone gone through this to give me some help advice something.I asked the dr so many questions and she just said they need to do more test and have a nuro dr check her out.to me she looks in my eyes and has tears come down to tell me she is done.before i left tonite i asked to if i could have a kiss goodbye she noded her head yes and kissed me back I told her i will be back in the morning.I have to sleep with my cell phone next to me just in case something happens tonite.my aunt is 65yrs old and is a tought lady but her toughness is gone..I just cry and feel so helpless..I guess I hope I get more answers in the morning.sorry for the bad spelling and help

My heart aches for you. We went through this in February with our Precious Mom. She went on a Friday the 22nd and we were told that she had double pneumonia and was admitted. Things just got worse...and then we were called in and told that if she didn't turn it around in 24 hours that she would not make it.....They told us that after they put her on life support that she must have had a heart attack???? and they sedated her to like a coma state and she never got to talk to us again. Her kidneys began to fail and by Thursday Mom passed on. My life will never be the same,,,I cant even explain the pain that we feel and still have lots of questions.....that's one thing I've learned ask...it doesn't matter if they like it or not....thats your loved one. I hope things can turn around for your aunt and I pray that God will give you the strength that you need. Mom had just turned 69....still so much life to live....From one hurting person to another....GOD BLESS!!
