Me again, I am so full of questions. I only saw an Endo twice 5 years ago and then the one 1X  that referred me to the surgeon 10 days before the TT and resection. . My surgeon said I don't need to see the Endo until about a month after RAI which would be 3 month after the surgery. As mentioned in some of my other posts I am Hypocalcemic, (fairly under controll with lots of meds.)Hypoparathyroid, and now hyperthyroid 4 1/2 weeks after surgery. My GP said I should see my Endo ASAP. I like my surgeon but am confused comments aonyone?

I see my endo constantly until this is all over.  I saw him several times leading up to my surgery (March 5th).  Once in the hospital.  I got out of the hospital on Saturday and saw him on Monday for blood tests and to set a plan for the rest of my treatment.  I have seen him three times since then and had 3-4 blood tests.  I saw him just before RAI with labs(last week).  Will speak to him on MOnday for results.  I have an appt in June (3 weeks), but he said he will probably have me come in for labs before them.  He IS THE ONE who will regulate you and command all of your procedures from beginning to end; for the rest of your life.  If you're not getting that type of attention from your endo, I'd say move on.  Maybe that's why I feel good and he caught my calcium situation two days out of the hospital and I've been fine ever since.  You don't need to see your surgeon after one follow up after surgery.
