Hello It has been a while since I have been here. As I said the first time I posted I have been diagnosed with ET and my platelet count was at 950 thousand and dr said treatment starts when i pass the million. so blood tests every three months. I asked my dr if there was any way i could bring down my platelet count on my own and he said no it will just continue to rise untill treatment starts and that it may stabalise and not go any higher but it would not go down. So i was prepared to start medication on my next visit.
I started eating healthier and also i bought pure ACAI JUICE and was taking about 3 ounces a day. (google acaie juice) well i had blood tests done last week and my dr called me into his office this morning. MY platelets have dropped almost by 100 thousand all on its own. this may just be normal up and down efffects of ET but who knows. Is it becuase of the acai juice I dont know but Im not going to stop drinking it and see if it goes down even more on my next visit in 3 months. I will kepp you posted. I started eating organc fruits and vegetables and did detox (kinoki foot pads) so hopefully i can bring it down more and stay away from the medication :-)
