POSSIBLE RELAPSE!!!

Hi,

My husband was diagnosed w/ aml in August of 2007.  He went thru induction chemo and 4 rounds of consolidation chemo.  He finished his last round in February 2008.  My concern is that he is relapsing.  He had a blood test at the end of April and everything was fine. About a week later, he started having aching joints and it hasn't gone away.  We are going to Disney next week and I want to hopefully set his mind at ease.  We're all worried.  If anyone out there knows the symptoms of relapse, I need to know.  Thanks in advance. and by the way, this disease sucks!!!

Hello my husband has just finished another induction round of chemo for aml relapsed last week.  His symptoms were bruises that would not go away and aches in his joints.

I'm so sorry for your husband's relapse?  What city are you in?  We're in Pittsburgh.  If there's anything I can do, please ask.

We've been 4 months w/o chemo.  I'm worried cause I don't know what symptoms to expect w/ relapse.  He doesn't have the same symptoms as when he was first diagnosed.  He's been feeling horrible especially in the joints and bones....

Thank you for responding.... it means a lot as i'm sure you're aware.
