Subject: High Tg level after RAI
Date: 05/19/2008

I had my TT 12/07 and RAI 02/08 with 150 mci. I just took my blood test and it shows the Tg level is 15. (Before RAI was 40)  I had PET scan in Feburary before the RAI and it show positive at my neck and lung. After the lung biopisy, the doctor said the lung nodule was nothing.  Also, WBS is negative except the neck area.

I am really worried about it.  As you know, the diagnosis already gave me a shock and I couldn't have more bad news.

Does anyone have this experience?  The Tg level must be very low after RAI according to my doctor and it must spread somewhere with high level, is that right?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Sometimes a lung biopisy can show nothing and yet it might be cancer still.  So, more test should be done.  I think TG level should be low if you don't have lung disease.

I have the same problems you described.  My TG should be undetectable, but it's not.  I have tall cell so it makes a difference.  I had my WBS 3 weeks ago and now I have to go on Friday for a PET scan.  I haven't felt well in a long time.  How are you doing---do you have any new information?  Tara
