My mom has been taking Torisel treatments for the past 3 months.  The doctor finally did a CT scan last Wednesday to check the results.  We went today and the doctor said that cancer had not grown.  That it was stable.  Since the Torisel seems to be working he is going to keep her on the treatments.  My concern is how many treatments of the chemo can she take without it wearing her body down.  She does really well with the side effects.  There aren't many except that she doesn't have much of an appetite due to the food not tasting good.  So she is losing weight.  How long do the treatments last?

My husband was on Torisel and also had the bad taste thing.  I just wanted to tell you that it went away as the treatments went on.  Hopefully your mothers will get better also.  I know how hard it is to get them to eat when they have that problem and they really need to keep up their nutrition.  It causes so many other problems if they don't.
