Are you referring to RFA (radiofrequency ablation)?  If so, you can check for an Interventional Radiologist on the internet.  I had a non-small cell cancerous tumor destroyed with RFA almost 2 years ago and, so far, there are no signs of cancer now.  There is a limit to the size of the tumors it is effective for, but the procedure is quite fast & easy.  Hope this is of some help to you.

There is a new radiosurgery machine called the cyberknife. It is supposed to be a lot easier than tradiotional chemo, and has unbelievable accuracy at targeting tumors.  The company that procuces it is called Accuray, and they have a website that explains everything about the cyberknife and also locations that have the machine.  I hope this was helpful. Blessings, Joanie

My dad is battling with stage IV NSCLC since Jul 2006.  He was able to have the radiosurgery.  The only thing is the docs were only able to do it on his brain mets.  Due to the fact that the patient has to be so still, the drs said they cant perform it on the lung because there is no way to keep the lung still from like breathing for the 7 or 10 minutes.  I know this was successful for my dad.  His MRI's have been negative ever since.  If you get any info of anyone's experience with the lung, please let me know also.  I am sorry to hear about your mom and wish you the very best.

I have been chatting to a lady who did have the radiosurgery on her lung and she went to Boswell Memorial Hospital in Sun City Arizonia (US) it went really well for her and been cancer free for 2 years.  Her radioologist was Dr Daniel Wright. Hope this helps.

take care

Radio-surgery (Cyberknife, Novalis, Tomotherapy...) can target lung lesions.  Additionally, there is Radio-Frequency Ablation and Cryo-ablation and Photodynamic Therapy as well.
